Our experienced therapists offer hands-on treatment in remedial massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue massage and sports massage.
Remedial massage is a hands-on assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain, and injury management. When muscles and tendons become damaged, impaired, knotted, tense or immobile, remedial massage provides an effective healing treatment.
Remedial massage holistically treats the whole body and traces the discomfort back to the original cause, healing both the cause of the disorder and the symptoms. Remedial massage can enhance your daily life by reducing the effects of physical, mental and emotional stress on your body.
Remedial Massage is the combination of the following techniques to achieve the desired normalization of soft tissue.
A concentrated application of pressure on the trigger point to break the cycle of pain and/or muscle spasm. These are small nodules of tight and contracted fibres of the muscles. Although typically uncomfortable when first pressed, the sensation subsides as the contraction is released and the muscle opens.
Gently stretches tight fascia, allowing fascia and muscle to relax, thereby improving stretch capability and range of motion. It aims at reducing pain and increase muscle flexibility by realigning fascia and the muscle to which it is connected to a more normal condition.
Slow strokes and deep hand pressure on areas of muscle tension, either following or against the direction of the muscles, tendons and fascia. It frees the muscles, facilitates the release of tension patterns and can restore suppleness length and increase range of motion.
Geared towards athletes of every kind, from world-class professionals to weekend joggers, all of whom rely on massage as an indispensable part of their training. Sports massage, when used regularly in the training regimen, improves an athlete’s recovery after exertion, maintains their range of motion and reduces the risk of injury from overtraining.

I have worked in a variety of massage therapy settings from spa to rehabilitative clinics. My previous work and training as a Kinesiologist has given me a unique perspective on the body and how to treat it effectively, and how to work in collaboration with other therapists for optimal client outcomes.
Working at neurological rehabilitation clinics with clients who sustained brain and spinal cord injuries has been wonderfully challenging and I take that experience and compassion into my daily treatments. I have also worked extensively with orthopaedic injuries such as repetitive strains, rotator cuff injuries and knee pain. As a busy mom of 2 active boys I have learned how important it is to have “me time”. My treatments give you chance to slow down, take a moment to relax and shake the stress of work away.
